It seems that the problem shows up exactly at half of your image, could that be a defective sensor or a slowly closing mirror?

Here's the update.
I went to canon and left the camera with them.
As expected the tech was trying to tell me that corrupted files are to be expected on a 10MPx camera, I kept or telling him that no, it is not expected and if it was, it should be clearly stated in the camera's owner's manual. I also asked him if following this logic, the more MPx Canons create more corrupted files? I got no answer...
I also said that if it is the case (that corrupted RAWs are to be expected) I will ask for my money back, despite the fact that the camera is few moths old.
So the next step is check with them in a few days, see what happens.
